HGFei did some talks on Wiener Amalgam spaces and Banach Gelfand triples as well as introductions into their MATLAB toolboxes in the course of the so-called September ‘06 introduction, where some guests and participants of the EUCETIFA and Initiativkolleg were taking part. In addition, he sent me some first material about Gabor Analysis for image processing. Maybe this week or next I’ll visit Martin P. and ask him to get me a local computing account.
I’m almost done with the most relevant chapters in Christensen, but still not through the important chapters 11+12 of Gröchenig about modulation spaces. Meanwhile, I’ve bought G. Strang’s Linear Algebra in a German translation, as other literature I own about Linear Algebra—and even the course I took part at the beginning of my study—never mentioned topics as the pseudo-inverse or singular values and the singular value decomposition of matrices, the discrete version of frame theory.
